About vME.

vME is a user generated content platform for vegans allowing them to connect, share recipes and review restaurants.

Problem statement.

The problems I suspected:

  • New vegans don't know what to cook.

  • New vegans don't know where to eat.

The research.

  • Competitor Analysis

  • 1 on 1 Interviews

The revised problem statement.

Vegans need a way to find quick tasty recipes, vegan restaurants and other health nutritional information because new vegans often don't have vegan friends who can support them when making the transition.

Affinity mapping - using mural

The hypothesis.

We believe that creating a platform for vegans to connect with each other (Ask each other questions), find/share recipes, restaurants and other information will help bringing the vegan communities closer together and make the transition for new vegans easier. We will know this to be true by seeing

  • 500 restaurant reviews posted after 1 month.

  • 1000 recipes shared 2 months after launch.

  • 20,000 registrations 6 months after launch.

Feature prioritisation.

MVP vs MDP. I opted to try and solve the people connecting problem - as I thought this would create the hook to keep people coming back to the app.

User flows.

The user flows for uploading recipes, reviews, posts or questions.
